What is Halal? 

Halal means “permissible” in Arabic. When in reference to food, Halal is a dietary standard with strict criteria, including:

Research has shown that stress and fear reduce lactic acid production, which negatively affects the taste and shelf-life of the meat. Since lactic acid helps slow bacteria growth, Halal meat also has a longer shelf-life than non-Halal meat.
